SUSSEX ASPARAGUS

The asparagus season has finally started and we now have our freshly cut asparagus in the farm shop every day from 10 am.  The cold, wet spring delayed the crop by almost 3 weeks as asparagus does not tolerate cold nights or chill winds and simply refuses to grow - but you can't really blame it!

Our farm shop is now open every day 10am - 5pm (10am - 3pm Sunday).  If you wish to place an order please email: farmshop@southbrockwellsfarm.com or call/text our our new Asparagus Hotline - 07355 167 323.

We have been growing asparagus for over 20 years. Traditionally, asparagus season starts around St. George's Day (23rd April) and finishes at Summer solstice (21st June). Cut fresh daily, we start at dawn to harvest our asparagus by hand when it is at its best. It’s quickly brought in from the field to our cutting room and shop, where it is carefully washed, graded by hand and then prepared for sale. By preparing and chilling our asparagus quickly, its quality and freshness are assured. Why not come and see for yourself from 10 o'clock each morning!

You can buy our freshly cut asparagus from our farm shop and local markets, we also welcome trade enquiries.
